Christina Himmel, Esq. is a South Florida business attorney, specializing in disputes, intellectual property, and employment. She is dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to individuals and businesses in her community.

Christina Himmel

Christina is a fierce attorney focusing her practice on litigation in various industries including manufacturing, health care, insurance, sports, hospitality, and real estate to name a few. She has extensive knowledge regarding intellectual property law (copyright and trademark), contract law, corporate governance law, and employment law. Her background in finance and business color her approach and perspective when faced with any legal issue or problem. She has successfully handled matters in arbitration, state and federal court, and administrative agencies.

Not one to shy away from challenges, Christina loves navigating and solving legal problems. She prides herself on having excellent judgment and credibility. She has successful results both in and out of the courtroom--anything from resolving disputes via settlement and winning cases at the summary judgment level. She loves taking depositions and arguing motions and seeks out any opportunity to convince a judge or factfinder to rule in her client’s favor. This has served her well over the past decade and led to great results. She has a strong background litigating arbitration issues and was part of a team that successfully reversed a lower court’s order granting a motion to compel arbitration.

In addition to her legal practice, Christina loves writing. She has authored publications featured in the Miami Herald and Daily Business Review including, “Ways to Overcome Work Life Balance Obstacles.” You can also find her writing on LinkedIn.

Christina was born and raised in south Florida. She grew up in Parkland and went to Marjory Stoneman Douglas for high school (MSD Strong). She attended the University of Miami for both undergrad (BBA, cum laude) and law school (JD, summa cum laude). She graduated fifth in her law school class and served as an editor on the University of Miami Law Review. She made the Dean’s List every semester, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and received numerous awards for the highest grade in her classes.

Giving back to the legal community is important to Christina. She spends time mentoring the next generation of lawyers. She currently co-chairs the marketing and social media and sponsorship committees for the Miami-Dade chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and serves on the IT committee for the South Florida chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Christina’s work ethic and discipline extend beyond the legal profession. She has been dancing and cheering since she was 3 years old, and she continues to do both. She was a Miami Dolphins cheerleader during her undergrad years at UM and still cheers at halftime during alumni games every few years. She is at the gym most mornings and regularly takes pilates class.
